Gemma Redrup

Web features editor & journalist

Gemma joined H&H in 2014 having graduated from the Royal Agricultural University in 2013 with a degree in international agricultural and equine business management.

She is involved with the day-to-day running of the H&H website and also reports across a number of disciplines, mainly eventing and point-to-pointing. She has reported at some of the biggest eventing competitions in the world including Badminton, Burghley, Luhmühlen, Pau, Bramham and Blenheim, and has travelled to one senior European eventing championship and three junior and young rider European championships in Germany, Italy, Ireland and The Netherlands.

Gemma grew up as a member of the Burghley branch of the Pony Club and has evented to intermediate and CCI* (now CCI-L2*) level. She spent two gap years working on a busy five-star event yard and once at university was captain of the equestrian team and also competed on the Great Britain Student Riders squad.

She also enjoys going hunting on a regular basis and rides out as much as she can on a point-to-point yard with the idea of potentially aiming for a ride in a race this coming season. She also took part in a charity Flat race around the Epsom Derby course in August 2018.

Gemma owns one horse with whom she has enjoyed plenty of hunting but is now concentrating on eventing and showjumping and is hoping jump him internationally towards the end of 2019 and into next year.
