Tickets for the Epsom Derby Festival are now on sale – and this year there are some exciting changes in place for 2026. The Betfred Derby Festival will take place on 5–6 June if watching the Epsom Derby on TV is not enough for you, then here’s everything you need to know about getting tickets to watch the action on the UK’s second most-valuable race day (to the Qipco British Champions Day) in person.
As the festival is a little while away, the tickets on sale now have an early-bird discount, so you can make savings compared to on-the-gate prices. There are also group discounts to make the most of if purchasing six tickets or more available in selected enclosures. All parking is free this year, but it’s recommended that you reserve a pass in advance.
Epsom Derby tickets: General admission
Children (under 18) will get free entry on both days in general admission enclosures. These tickets all include access to the DJ after party and parade ring viewing.
Ladies Day (Friday 5 June) tickets are slightly cheaper than Derby Day (Saturday 6 June).
Upper Tattenham
These tickets are ideal for families seeking a relaxed day at the races. You get trackside viewing as the horses head into the home straight, plus you can bring a picnic and there is all-day entertainment on offer. There is also a wet weather cover. These tickets do not include access to the parade ring, winner’s enclosure or DJ after party. Gate prices start at £35.
Grandstand enclosure
This enclosure is for those seeking thrills from start to finish – it’s located along the home straight, so not only will you see the horses thunder toward the finish post, but there’ll be an electric atmosphere. Gate prices start at £75.

Duchess stand reserved seating
This ticket gives you a guaranteed seat for the whole day and access to live entertainment. These seats are limited so although gate prices are listed as starting at £115, we recommend you book in advance.
Adult super early bird: From £115
Queen Elizabeth II stand
This enclosure offers a more prestigious experience – you get the best views of the course, the winning post and parade ring. You can also view the winner’s circle and enjoy the stand’s lawn. There is a dress code for this stand on Derby Day. Gate prices start at £145.
Adult super early bird: From £135
Premium area tickets
Cedric’s
Close to the action with seating options and wet weather/shade cover, this ticket offers a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival and bar snacks throughout the day. You get the best views of the finish line with access to seating along the final furlong, as well as all-day entertainment and access to an exclusive after party. These tickets include parking, a complimentary racecard and admission to the Grandstand Enclosure.

Watch the Epsom Derby for free
The Derby Festival is one of the world’s only sporting events where you can watch the live action for free, thanks to The Hill. Here, everyone can join in and experience a carnival atmosphere with food and drink, big screens, a market and a funfair. Track-side viewing, the Tote, bookmakers and racecards are all easily accessible too.
Thanks to significant investment in Epsom Downs Racecourse and The Derby Festival, this year there will be new banks of “bleacher”-style covered seating on the final furlong to give racegoers a bird’s eye view, plus a new DerbyFest area.
