Carl Hester has announced that Liebling II (Lenny) has come back to the UK to retire at his yard. The 17-year-old dark bay by Lorentin — who started his career with Anna Ross Davies — competed with 5 different riders at international grand prix. He finished 10th at the European Championships in 2007 with Anna and went on to help secure team silver at the European Championships 2009 and World Equestrian Games in 2010 with Carl. “I still have plenty of hilarious videos of us when he was the world’s naughtiest 4 year old!,” Anna said on Facebook. “I’m very proud of him. He’s brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people. “I just hope he doesn’t tell Valegro how to be naughty in the trot up over the fence in the field!
