Equestrian Olympic tickets go on sale today


  • Fans of equestrian sport will get another chance to buy Olympic tickets from 11am today (Tuesday 15 May).

    An extra 4,000 dressage tickets, 12,000 for cross-country and 5,000 for showjumping have been made available.

    They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals who applied in previous rounds and didn’t get tickets.

    All tickets will be available from 11am on the London 2012 website.

    Customers will be limited to applying for one session and a maximum of four tickets.

    Any unsold tickets will go back on general sale from 23 May at 11am.

    Chairman of London organisers LOCOG Seb Coe said: “We know thousands of sports fans were disappointed when they missed out in the initial sales period because of the massive demand for tickets. We promised we would prioritise these fans when we released the contingency tickets, which is exactly what we are doing.”

    13 May – beach volleyball, football, hockey, tennis and wrestling

    14 May – athletics, canoe slalom, canoe sprint, shooting, swimming, track cycling, volleyball and weightlifting

    15 May – diving, equestrian, handball, swimming (marathon), synchronised swimming, table tennis and water polo

    16 May – badminton, basketball (North Greenwich Arena sessions), boxing, fencing, gymnastics, judo, sailing and taekwondo

    17 May – archery, basketball (basketball arena sessions), BMX, modern pentathlon, mountain bike, road cycling, rowing, triathlon and Olympic Park tickets.
