Tina Fletcher fears injury may rule her out of Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) next month, following her fall from Hello Sailor at Spruce Meadows, Canada (5-9 September).
The Oxfordshire-based rider was injured when the horse’s stud pierced her ankle.
“Hopefully it won’t require surgery, Tina told H&H. “But for the moment I’m on complete rest and can’t put any weight on it.”
And HOYS (3-7 October) may be out of the question.
“The surgeon said no way but I keep hoping it will be all right,” she added.
Our HOYS preview is in next week’s issue (27 September 2012).
