Best places to stay if you’re heading to Royal Windsor Horse Show

If you can find a hotel near Royal Windsor Horse Show then I think it’s worth extending your stay to visit the Berkshire town, too. I say this because I grew up in the town next door to Windsor – and stayed there for 28 years – and my grandma lived a stone’s throw from the castle, so I know both the town and the horse show very well.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show takes place in the stunning grounds of Windsor Castle (14–17 May 2026) and finding accommodation near by will allow you to make the most of your trip. Visitors will be treated to a packed schedule of world-class showjumping, driving and endurance, as well as a huge number of national showing classes. There is something for everyone including plenty of shopping and stunning displays, which includes a dressage masterclass from Olympians Carl Hester and Becky Moody this year.
