    How to get there

The event will be signed from J42 M6 motorway. CA5 7QD.

What the organisers say: a new fixture for Cumbria and the Scottish and northern region, this venue will start out in true grassroots style with BE80(T)-BE100 classes. It aims to offer a further starter-type event for the region and particularly so in its first year.

There is a compact layout for all the disciplines on old free-draining river-gravel turf. The land enjoys a fabulously flat area for the dressage and showjumping arenas, along with an embankment on the cross-country, which will host some steps. Across the flatter areas there will be some simple ditches and traditional post and rail fences too, with the obstacles combining to make for a flowing but gymnastic cross-country ride.

This should prove a conveniently situated horse trials, being just 10min and five miles from J42 M6. It will be an equally popular event for owners and spectators, who should see the horses for most of the time while enjoying refreshments from the centrally located visitors’ area.

Percentage of cross-country clears 2014 (new event for 2015)
