    What the organisers say

With new title sponsors, Country & Stable of Olney and associate sponsors, Scotts of Thrapston, Waitrose, Matthew Nicholas Estate Agents, Gatecare and Reelcare, Carlton moves to a new date at the end of June, for two days of professional, friendly and enjoyable competition.

The beautifully presented cross-country courses, which run over permanent pasture and established gallops, are enticing and rewarding to first-timers and seasoned partnerships alike. If necessary, courses and arenas will be aera-vated or watered to ensure excellent ground conditions.

The dressage arenas are secluded with a large warm-up area and the showjumping, designed by David Conway, is in a flat arena adjacent to the house. All areas are within easy reach of the lorry park.

There will be course walks on Friday, 26 June at 2pm with Nick Turner and on Sunday, 28 June with Jonathan Chapman.

See website for full details of Burghley young event horse qualifier on Friday, 26 June.

    What the riders say

Cross-country — “The cross-country courses here were very educational with undulations.” “A good first-timers or young horse event.” “The event was well laid out and the ground was good.”
