    • Jockey Nick Scholfield is now proudly representing Simple Landlords Insurance at meetings around the UK.Having once been the youngest rider to complete the Grand National, Nick has enjoyed career success riding for top owners and trainers including Paul Nicholls, Nick Williams, Jeremy Scott, Keiran Burke, Anthony Knott, Paul Henderson, Nick Mitchell and Kim Bailey.

    • UK tenpin bowling operators and owners of Hollywood Bowl and AMF Bowling, The Original Bowling Company (TOBC), have agreed a sponsorship deal with Claire Lay from Hemel Hempstead.

Claire has qualified for the Horse Of The Year Show’s SEIB Search for a Star ridden hunters (4 October), on Adrian Lupson’s, Aturio.

      Claire, who has been riding Aturio for a year, said, “I feel extremely lucky to have found a horse like ‘Rio’ and I cannot thank TOBC enough for their kind support.

      “It shows that involvement in equestrianism can benefit companies from all industries.”

    • Terry Spraggett and Lucinda White of Home Farm, Hothorpe and the Mulbrooke Stud are to sponsor the Supreme Horse of the Year Championship at Horse of the Year Show (7 October).Previously known as the Champion of Champions, the Home Farm Hothorpe and the Mulbrooke Stud Supreme Horse of the Year Championship is the climax to the prestigious ridden showing classes at Horse of the Year Show.

      The champions of 11 classes, held throughout the week – including for the first time this year, the champion of the SEIB Racehorse to Riding Horse Championship – are invited to come forward with a £1,000 prize to the winner.

    • Online equestrian retailer, EquestrianClearance.com are the new sponsor of the British Riding Clubs (BRC) Winter Championships.Held at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire on March 30 and 31 2013, the event is one of the highlights in the BRC calendar.

      It draws competitors from all over the country including Northern Ireland, with the series focusing on showjumping and dressage competitions.
