Minature Frankel statue released
Fans of unbeaten racehorse Frankel can now have a miniature version of the 5-year-old stallion in their home.
Breyer, which makes collectable model horses, has released a model of Frankel in time for Christmas.
Frankel — who retired unbeaten last year after 14 wins — now stands at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket.
Other equine stars immortalised by Breyer include unbeaten Australian racehorse Black Caviar, and gold medal-winning dressage supremo Mistral Hojris.
“Presented on a display plinth and in customised Breyer packaging, this highly detailed model is the perfect gift for any horse lover or collectable enthusiast,” said a spokesman for the company.
For each model sold, a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), a charity chosen by Frankel’s trainer Sir Henry Cecil, who died earlier this year.
“Frankel — The world’s highest-rated racehorse” is on sale now and costs £29.99.
