UK equestrian sponsorship round-up

    The feed company will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of its sponsorship of the Pony Club Winter League Championships at this year’s event at Moreton Morrell College, Warwickshire (3-4 April).

    To mark the 20th anniversary of the Dengie Winter League Championships, the event’s very first winner, Laura Hedley Gray will join in the celebrations.

    “It’s amazing that we have been sponsoring the Pony Club Winter League Championships for 20 years,” said Dengie marketing manager Lisa Wilson. “That’s two decades of supporting enthusiastic and talented young riders from around the UK and having the prime opportunity to promote the benefits of feeding a healthy fibre diet to this switched-on audience.

    “We wish every rider the very best of luck as they compete for a place in this extra-special, 20th-anniversary Dengie Winter League Championships.”

    Holmestead Saddlery

    Holmestead Saddlery has sponsored three young Irish riders.

    Thirteen-year-old Ciaran Nallon from Ballina, Carlow native, 16-year-old Mikey Pender Alexander Butler originally from Kells Co. Meath and now based in Straffan.

    “It’s great to give something back to a sport that’s been good to us over the years . I think it’s really important to help encourage young people in sport ” said Bill Holmes of Holmestead.

    Tattersalls

    Europe’s leading bloodstock sales company will sponsor the Group One Irish 1000 Guineas, in addition to the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas and Tattersalls Gold Cup from 2015 to 2017.

    Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: “The Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival [at The Curragh] promises to be one of the highlights of the European racing calendar. To sponsor two Classics and one of Europe’s premier 10 furlong races over two days demonstrates the Tattersalls commitment to Irish racing and reflects the support we receive at our sales from all sectors of the Irish racing and breeding industry.”

    Snowflake

    Snowflake has become the official bedding supplier to the Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championships and the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships.

    The events, which take place at Hartpury Arena Gloucestershire in April attract both amateur and professional riders alike who will be bidding for glory whilst bedding their horses on Snowflake Supreme.

    Lynne White, of Plevin, manufacturers of Snowflake Bedding said “I am delighted that Snowflake have become the official bedding supplier at such exciting events and would like to wish all competitors the best of luck at the competitions.”
