Tractor Ted, the animated tractor who entertains and educates children about farming, is sponsoring a fence at Pontispool Horse Trials (15 -16 September).
Pontispool have created “Tractor Ted’s duck pond” which will feature Ted and his trailer which will be jumped by competitors.
“I’m delighted Tractor Ted is here. We have a strong farming connection as we farm here as well as run an equestrian venue, and he’s a great way to enthuse children about enjoying the outdoors,” said Pontispool owner Richard Mitford-Slade.
“It’s going to be a very popular place to take photographs as every child with a parent or friend competing will want a picture of them jumping Tractor Ted, he’s such a legend.”
Tractor Ted was founded in 2005 by Alexandra Heard and David Horler and is endorsed by a host of equestrian stars including AP McCoy, Tim Stockdale and William Fox-Pitt.
David said: “We are thrilled to be making our first move into the sport of horse trials and Pontispool is the perfect place to start as it’s a working farm and a thriving equestrian centre.
“I know there are a lots of very young children who are excited about the prospect that they might get to jump Tractor Ted on their ponies or come and watch it happening. “
