How to get there

Off the A57 towards Warrington.

What the organisers say

We have flat going for the dressage, with good warm-up facilities. The showjumping is held in top-class, large, wax, all-weather outdoor arenas.

Ken Davies designs and builds the cross-country courses on flat, permanent grassland. We do whatever is needed to produce good going, using an aera-vator and sanding take-offs and landings if needed. There is a mix of portable and permanent fences with some new fences this year.

There are alternatives at the more difficult fences and the courses are designed to encourage and educate.

What the riders say

Dressage & showjumping — “Great, large and flat warm-up and dressage arenas, but they are situated next to a busy main road, which can upset some horses.” “Lovely, large, all-weather showjumping arenas and warm-up.” “The showjumping courses are fairly up to height and bright.”

Cross-country — “Flat and straightforward at all levels, and a perfect first-timer’s course.” “Ground can be a little firm, but it is held in August.”
