Nick Skelton wins another class in Florida with Big Star

Nick Skelton’s phenomenal run of form continued at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, on Saturday (4 February) when he won the $80,000 ( £50,556) Adequan CSI** grand prix with Big Star.

Nick and Beverley Widdowson’s Quick Star stallion beat a record 81 starters from 19 different countries.

Then on Sunday, it was Scott Brash’s turn to take top honours with Whisky Mac in the $25,000 ( £15,798) Suncast 1.50m championship jumper classic.

Ben Maher and Rowan were in second position and Tina Fletcher and Unique IX fourth.
