Our reviewer looked effortlessly stylish in these gorgeous boots and apparently they not only look great but are super comfortable — what more could you want?

I recently tested the Fairfax & Favor Amira boots. As equestrians, I’m sure that we can all relate to the fact that we spend most of our time in old yard clothes, smelling of horses and covered in mud and horse hair. Therefore, there’s nothing I find more exciting than the chance to get dressed up from time to time.

I am always looking for a nice outfit to wear to country events and I absolutely love combining equestrian-inspired products with high street style, which is why I instantly fell in love with these boots.

Made from black premium suede with a calf-leather lining, these British heritage-inspired, above the knee boots are effortlessly chic with an equestrian twist and will allow you to easily dress up any outfit for any occasion.

The boots feature a sculptured line, meaning that they are very flattering on the eye, and their elasticated spine means that they fit perfectly and snugly around the calf — aided by the full calf “Lucy” zip that helps to ensure the smooth, firm closure. As I’m sure many fellow equestrians can sympathise, I have a big calf to ankle ratio, however these boots manage to fit snugly in all the right places.

I tested the Amira boot in a size seven and they are true to size, and despite the small 7cm heel, they are very comfortable and you could easily keep them on all day. I usually go for flat boots, however I really like the heel height on these boots and feel very elegant when I wear them.

The innovated inner heel zip is an extra bonus, meaning the boots are very easy to get on and off. The only thing you have to watch with these boots is that the soft leather lining doesn’t get caught in the zip when you do them up — you soon get used to it though so this is not an issue.

I also love the scallop zip guard and tassels, which are a lovely touch. The tassels are also interchangeable and are available in a variety of colours, meaning that you can switch them up to match your outfit. They simply snap on and off, meaning there’s no excuse not to match your boots with your outfit. What more could a girl want?

My only criticism when it comes to these boots is that they can be a little slippy — especially on wooden floor or wet surfaces, so this is something to watch out for.

This boot bares resemblance to a Calvary boot — and you can see why. They are perfect for hitting the high street in after you’ve been to the yard, attending any horse shows, or even ensuring that you always look your best at a trot-up.
