A horse lover from Nottingham was given a special surprise earlier this month (11 December).
Nic Parkin had returned home from a night shift and was woken by call from her partner, Matt Thomas, telling her urgently needed to come to the yard.
Nic rushed to the stables at around 11.45am where she was told to cover her eyes and taken out to the horse field.
She found a glitter message had been painted onto her three-year-old coloured cob, Blue, (pictured, right) saying, “Will you marry me?”
“I absolutely had no clue,” Nic told H&H. “I shot down to the yard like a rocket as I thought something had happened to Blue.
“I was so shocked when I saw the message. I gasped and said, ‘Yes of course’.”
Nic owns Equine Happy Limited, a company that creates glitter tattoos.

“We only started the company three months ago and Matt knows how hard I’ve worked on it,” added Nic.
“It was really special having Blue there, I’ve owned him since he was six-months-old. Matt and I used to sneak down to the field together to eat fish and chips when we first met.
“Matt isn’t that experienced round horses so once he brought Blue into his stable he had to call my friend to help him take off his rug.
“I’m so proud of him, he had the ring hidden behind him and after I’d said yes we had a picnic together.”
Nic and Matt hope to get married in July, 2017, and Blue will be a special guest at the wedding.
