  • An American Iraq war veteran has undergone facial reconstructive surgery after he was trampled on by a police horse.

Veteran Nick Morgan was crushed last week by a police horse during a demonstration outside Hofstra University in Long Island, New York.

Officers were controlling a group of ‘Iraq Vets Against the War’ and other protestors outside the presidential debate at Hofstra University on 15 October.
