Trekking to support World Horse Welfare

A vet, Janet Bradshaw, her horse, Lottie, and her dog, Bridie, will be trekking along the St Michael / St Mary line across Britain in aid of World Horse Welfare, the Elephant Nature foundation, and Survival.

World Horse Welfare improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care.

Janet is a qualified vet and has carried out research into animal diseases.

She is hoping to complete 12 miles a day. She started in May and hopes to finish the ride by the end of June.

    A blind-folded sky-dive

Dame Emma Brown took part in a 13,000ft sky-dive to raise awareness for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).

The money raised is to help blind show-jumper Karen Law have her own horse,  She is currently having to change horses and adapt to each of their different behaviour, something she finds difficult.

Karen relies on shouting instructions at her horse to complete rounds of showjumping.

To raise awareness for the cause Emma did the jump blind-folded.
