The UK’s oldest master, Arthur Board, who was MFH of the Llangeinor Foxhounds, died on 28 February. He was 96.
Arthur joined the Llangeinor as master 38 years ago, in 1976.
His hunting career began at the age of 8 with the Glamorgan, with whom he hunted for many years before swapping to the Llangeinor so that his sons could hunt with him on Saturdays.
Fellow joint-master Brian Hughes said: “Arthur was full of tales about hunting since his boyhood. He will be very much missed by all who knew him.”
Arthur was married for 70 years to Mary and leaves 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
