Hartpury accident prompts review into cars on cross-country courses
The collision between a car and a horse on the cross-country course at Hartpury has prompted event organisers to review their policies concerning vehicles on courses.
In the current issue of Horse & Hound, we speak to organisers of major events, including Blenheim and Burghley, to find out what changes they are making to their policies regarding the use of vehicles while the competition is underway.
Blenheim’s Mandy Hervieu said: “What happened at Hartpury is a situation all organisers dread and is a timely reminder to us all.”
