Tributes have been paid to Sam Butt – the oldest supporter of the Tiverton Foxhounds – who has died at the age of 97.

A retired farm worker, Mr Butt collected caps from foot and car followers for more than 30 years and in all weathers. He was also a much-loved member of the hunt supporters’ club.

Among the pallbearers at his funeral on 26 March were the Tiverton’s senior joint-master Kelvin Thomas and the Duke of Beaufort’s huntsman Tony Holdsworth.
