Who’s made the cut for the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 eventing teams? Updated with the latest withdrawals
A full list of entries for every nation in the eventing World Championships at Aachen
If you’re wondering which horses and riders have made the final cut for the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 eventing teams, then H&H is here to keep you abreast of all the squad news as it happens.
I’ve been updating this page every time we receive an update, including with late withdrawals and squad changes ahead of the first horse inspection at the eventing World Championships on Wednesday 12 August.
There are expected to be 88 starters in the eventing at this year’s FEI World Championships. With a maximum of five horse and rider combinations per nation, teams can consist of three or four athletes, with the best three scores to count. If a country has a team then they can also field one additional horse and rider competing as a individual. Countries that do not have a team can enter two combinations as individuals.
*Last updated 11 August* – the sole Portuguese entrant, Manuel Grave, has withdrawn.

When were the final team announcements for eventing?
The deadline for definite entries – that is the final squads of up to five athletes per nation, bar injury or illness – was 27 July.
How are teams selected?
Each country follows its own selection process. The British selectors take into account the results of horse and rider combinations at major competitions, as well as the difficulty of certain courses, how competitive a competition was and results at events with “field of play similarities” to a championships.
