FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 showjumping teams are taking shape – check out the latest news

Find out who’s heading to Germany

  • As the countdown to the FEI World Championships continues, nations’ selectors are busy deciding on their Aachen 2026 showjumping teams. If you want to keep up to date with all the FEI World Championships squad announcements in one place, Horse & Hound is here to help.

A number of nations have confirmed their teams, while others, including Great Britain and Sweden, has only released their list of nominated entries at this stage.  I’ll be updating this page every time a nation announces their team, so check back for the latest updates.

Each nation can enter up to five horse and rider combinations, but only four will take part in both the team and individual competition. The fifth rider can jump the warm-up round on Tuesday 18 August and then compete in non-championship classes at the show if they wish to do so.

When are final team announcements for showjumping?

The deadline for definite entries – that is the final squads of up to five athletes per nation, bar injury or illness – is 27 July.

    How are teams selected?

Each country follows its own selection process. The British selectors chose their showjumping team based on who is most likely to achieve the objectives; of qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and winning as many medals as possible. Their selections take into account combination results, including in five-star Nations Cup and grands prix, this year and last.
