Riders will no longer receive 21 penalties for breaking a frangible pin on a cross-country course, the governing body for horse sport has announced.

Following an appeal by riders and British Eventing to the FEI’s eventing committee , the FEI bureau has changed the rule to allow the ground jury of an event to decide if penalties should be awarded.
