Five things you didn’t know…
He used to belong to Kimi Gerd Nielsen, Danish dressage team chef d’equipe. She sold him to a Dutch dealer, from whom Joanne bought the horse.
Despite disgracing himself at his first international appearance at Addington, this is usually a happy hunting ground for him. He had his first ever win with Emile there, at the premier league in 2010.
He is warmed up twice before every competition – once in the morning, just softening work, and again 30min before his test.
For such a live wire, he’s ridiculously affectionate and loves a cuddle.
He was bred by Maria Schnoor in Bolderslev, Denmark, and is by the same sire as Laura Bechtolsheimer’s Mistral Hojris – Michellino.
