It’s not just humans who have to think about using sun protection during hot weather, and I’ve found a great deal on Lincoln Sun Bloc. Horses with pink-skinned areas are particularly susceptible to sun damage, so they’ll benefit from the use of one of the best sun creams for horses to help protect their sensitive skin and prevent sun burn. Along with your best fly spray, it’s an essential part of your summer horse care kit.
If your horse has pink skin, it’s likely you worry about sunburn for much of the summer. If you’re looking for a horse-safe sun cream at a reasonable price, the search is over – this Sun Bloc from Lincoln gets a resounding thumbs up from team H&H and I’ve found it on offer with 33% off the RRP.

Lincoln Sun Bloc With Aloe Vera 200g | VioVet
RRP £13.50 Now £9
I use this sun block on my horses that live out – and we have declared it H&H approved. The bright pink colour means it’s easy to tell when it needs to be topped up.
Lincoln Sun Bloc acts as a barrier cream and sun block, using UV-filtering ingredients such as zinc oxide. It’s effective against UVA and UVB rays and its water resistant, so doesn’t come off at the first sign of sweating or rain. It works on exposed, scarred or sensitive skin, plus it contains moisturising ingredients like lanolin and aloe vera meaning it’s suitable for damaged skin.
We reviewed Lincoln Sun Bloc with aloe vera and awarded it H&H Approved status. Our tester really liked how the cream was unscented and gave excellent coverage. Plus, its chalky pink pigment let her know exactly where she’d already been, so she didn’t over-apply. Its thick, sticky texture means it can be messy to apply, but it’s a small price to pay for a sunburn-free summer.
