Blair Europeans countdown blog: 1 day to go
The week of the event has arrived and the sun is shining at Blair Castle where the Longines FEI European Eventing Championship 2015 team are busy finalising all the last details.
Trade stands are unloading their goods, grandstand seating has been set up, marquees are up, horses are settling in – it’s certainly starting to bring the site alive.
Mitsubishi have delivered our official vehicle fleet and the team have been putting them to good use collecting sponsors and officials from Edinburgh airport with a warm Scottish welcome.
Sponsors signs have been put into their final positions around the site and the cross-country course is looking spectacular.
Did you see our fantastic preview in the latest Horse & Hound? Our cross-country course designer Ian Stark gave an insight in to the championship course which has been designed to produce a real Scottish feel.
After months of preparation the ground team have done a great job at providing perfect going, helped by the extremely efficient Toro Groundmaster 4500-d mower. On Sunday we will find out who our European individual and team champions will be — an exciting prospect.
We look forward to welcoming you all at Blair Castle; it is going to be a truly magnificent setting for a European Championship nestled in the breath taking Scottish Highlands.
