The pair scored plus 80% at Aachen and have not scored below 71% all year. The combination were also part of the 2013 bronze medal winning Eurpoeans team.

After finishing his academic education as a teenager, Michael went to work with showjumper Tim Stockdale. He is part of a prolific dressage dynasty though (his father Ferdi and sister Maria both compete to the highest level), and after a period of time he decided to persue this discipline instead of showjumping.

Michael has had great success with the outstanding Woodlander Farouche, winning the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in 2011 and 2012, the first time a mare has ever done so.

Michael has been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2015 European Dressage Championships in Aachen riding his father’s Marakov.
