When it comes to looking ‘Foxxy’ this summer, tweed fashion designers Timothy Foxx Clothing know how to look stylish as temperatures rise! In this feature, Rosalie Eustace, chief designer at Timothy Foxx gives her top tips for looking great this summer…
Summer is your chance to have some fun with your clothes and our new summer collection has some great essentials, from cool cotton polo shirts with ‘tongue in cheek’ slogans, luxury hoodies and ‘hotter than hot’ hot pants!
And if you are slightly more conservative, then our longer length lightweight tweed skirts and tailored jackets, still have that ‘Foxxy’ twist with clever style details such as coloured turn back cuffs on jackets and pretty printed fabric linings on skirts for comfort.
Our adorable Summer Skirt collection ticks a big fashion trend towards romantic retro and incorporates our attention to detail through tweed waistbands and mis-matched buttons.
Gorgeously girlie, the collection features polka dots, flowers and country plaids for a look that is flirty and fun! Many of our customers wear these skirts teamed with their Dubarry’s but they look great teamed with leggings and flip-flops!
One of the big summer fashion stories this season is taking a staple wardrobe item and building different looks around it.
At Timothy Foxx we’ve been doing this for years, because getting dressed up should be easy.
The concept behind the idea is that you have one key item in your wardrobe and we like to think that our jackets do just this for our customers.
Offering a range of different styles to suit your shape and personality, our jackets can be worn with jeans, skirts, shirts, tees and even hoodies to bring versatility into your wardrobe.
And to make things even easier, we also do matching tweed pieces, so you can use your jacket as part of a skirt suit, team it with heels and hot pants and a slogan tee for a night out or dress down for a lazy Sunday with jeans and sandals.
If your budget is limited, we’ve just introduced some great new accessories this summer including some new hat styles and even handbags all with the Timothy Foxx twist on tweed.
Our new bags were designed in conjunction with Scottish fashion designer Joey D and look great for a trip into town or a night out on the town. Forget about boring baseball caps, our hats not only help cover up dreaded hat hair for riders out there but they also keep the sun off your head when the sun is beating down without compromising on style.
Finally before you shop, you should think about pulling your wardrobe out and having a good root through. Selling off old items of clothing or giving them away to charity means it will be much easier for you to see what ‘gaps’ are missing. Be ruthless and pull in a stylish friend to help you make those choices.
Remember fashion should be fun, so experiment with new styles and looks.
