Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) is to host a showing master class on Saturday 6 October.
The Showing Register Master Class will give six riders who have never competed at HOYS the chance to take part in ‘the world’s most famous horse show’.
Show judges David Ingle and Mathew Lawrence will be on hand to offer advice to riders and their home-produced mounts.
Gail Chapman of The Showing Register, said: “We are delighted to be working with The Horse of the Year Show to help and encourage home-produced exhibitors.
“We are offering an ongoing framework of training awards and mentoring from our showing professionals thereby bringing both sides of the showing world together.”
Each rider will receive one night’s stabling, three Saturday wristlets, a horsebox pass and a HOYS t-shirt.
The Showing Register will also offer participants support and vouchers to spend with professional show producers and trainers.
Combinations will be selected from:
- Coloured Horse and Pony Society Championship
- British Show Pony Society Summer Championship
- The National Pony Society Summer Championship
- Ponies Association (UK) Summer Championship
- MIDARC Summer Championship Show
