  • Champion jockey AP McCoy will be helping host the official after party at The Open meeting at Cheltenham this weekend (16-18 November).

This is the second year that The Outside Chance has had a bar area at the meeting and capacity has now been increased to 900, with food being served all day and a live band playing each evening.

“The Outside Chance is a public racing bar, designed for the young and young at heart,” said McCoy, who has recently taken a stake in The Outside Chance pub in Manton, Marlborough.

“It made an instant impact at last year’s Open meeting and this year we are looking to build on that success.”

The bar will be situated in a marquee in the shopping village and will feature large plasma screens, Tote betting, a dancefloor and VIP area.

Entrance will be free until after the last race, when the official after-party will start and entry will be £10, with a £5 discount for Young Farmers and Countryside Alliance members.
