On the third day of competition at the winter dressage championships, Hartpury College, Glos, 17-year-old Harriet Bloxham topped the Blue Chip novice restricted championship riding Quarry Hill Minstrel — a wild pony bought straight off the Quantock Hills for £600.
Former actress turned after dinner speaker Ellie Targett and Ranazotti, a 10-year-old by Rotspon, headed the GFS elementary restricted music, while Georgina Wheedon, 19, who is well and truly back in action after suffered a broken pelvis and torn spleen in separate accidents last year, topped the Blue Chip novice open.
Outside, the Petplan area festival championship classes continued, with Nadine Gregory and Candover Dramatico achieving the only plus-70% score in the class to win the medium restricted. Meanwhile Julie Beckwith and Keystone Washington scored 72.98% to take the Petplan novice open.

In the evening’s gala performance, Charlotte Fry wowed the crowd with a wonderful, expressive prix st georges freestyle to top this class. Watch Charlotte’s test here
