Ullswater huntsman takes job in Canada

  • Ullswater huntsman John Harrison is stepping down after 18 seasons. He will go to Canada to hunt the Toronto and North Yorks, where he first worked as a huntsman in 1991.

John, who was born and raised in Ullswater country, started his career as kennelman at the Cattistock and then Taunton Vale. He moved to the Vine and Craven as second whipper-in, then on to the Easton Harriers as first whip.

After his first spell in Canada, John took on the role of huntsman of the Ullswater, his home pack.
