UK equestrian sponsorship round-up


  • Riding for the Disabled Association

    Snuggy Hoods is sponsoring the Riding for the Disabled Association’s (RDA) “horse or pony of the year” award, with the winner to be announced at the charity’s gala awards evening in September.

    “We are proud to sponsor the RDA horse or pony of the year award for a second year,” said Marilyn Harford of Snuggy Hoods. “RDA horses and ponies work extremely hard and this award is a chance to acknowledge their huge contribution. It’s always a joy to read the citations and we are very much looking forward to this year’s event.”

    The Festival of British Eventing

    The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) is celebrating its 10th anniversary as the presenting sponsor of The Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park (7-9 August 2015)

    BETA are sponsoring The Pony Club team showjumping competition as well as presenting a special award the “BETA Anniversary Trophy”, a perpetual trophy for the highest placed first time finisher in the British Eventing open championship.

    BETA’s Claire Williams said: “BETA has developed a fantastic partnership with The Festival of British Eventing and although every event is special, this one is going to be quite an occasion for us. We really value the special blend of top class competition combined with the great family atmosphere at Gatcombe Park, which has given us a wonderful opportunity to promote our work and fly the flag for rider safety.”

    Foulrice Park Racing

    Fibre-Beet is the new sponsor for the Middleham-based yard.

    The yard is run by trainer Patrick Holmes, with his business partners Colin and Ailsa Stirling.

    “We started using Fibre-Beet last year and were very impressed with the palatability — even the fussiest of horses enjoy it. They look very well on the feed and maintain condition throughout the season,” said Patrick.

    Izzy Taylor

    Izzy Taylor is joining Woof Wear’s team of sponsored riders that includes Kitty King, Matt Frost and Tamsyn Hutchins.

    “We’re really pleased that Izzy is joining our team of riders; her dedication and focus to her sport is admirable. We’re very excited for the year ahead and thrilled to be supporting her,” said Ali Felton of Woof Wear.

    Bolesworth International

    Ashford Farm is the new title sponsor of Bolesworth International.

    The Ashford Farm CSI**** Bolesworth International will take place in the grounds of 18th Century Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire from 18-21 June.

    Show president and owner of Bolesworth International Nina Barbour said: “We are delighted to have Ashford Farm on board as our title sponsor.

    “As one of Europe’s leading stables for both the sport and the sale of elite showjumpers, Ashford Farm share our passion to be the very best.”

    British Showjumping National Championship

    Winners at the British Showjumping (BS) National Championship will be receiving quality and stylish rugs thanks to The Mark Todd Collection, official champion rug supplier for the show.

    Tracey Woods of The Mark Todd Collection said: “We are delighted to be working with Grandstand Media and BS and to have the opportunity to showcase The Mark Todd Collection at this prestigious event.

    “We see our involvement in the championships as a perfect fit, since the Mark Todd range has much to offer the show jumping fraternity, from modern, well designed horse and rider wear to high-quality leatherwork”.

    Team LBD Dressage

    Horse First has announced Team LBD Dressage its new dressage partners for 2015.

    Team LBD Dressage comprises of Luke and Chris Baber-Davies.

    Luke and Chris have a new base at Chainley Stud Equestrian Centre in West Sussex, where they train and produce to the highest level.

    “We both love the Horse First range because of its super reliable results and diverse product range which means that we have all the best supplements right at our fingertips, for a wide variety of horses,” said the pair.

    Little Downham Horse Trials

    Childéric Saddles UK is to continue to support Little Downham Horse Trials at the Ely Eventing Centre in Cambridgeshire.

    Technician Tricia Bracegirdle of Childéric UK said: “We are delighted to be involved with Little Downham once again and visibility at this event means that Childéric UK is seen by riders of all levels, from grass roots up through to top international event riders, encompassing our Childéric clientele.”

    Little Downham Horse Trials takes place 1-2 August and 3-5 October.
