A website has been launched to puts horse owners in touch with recommended horse professionals who can provide mobile livery services.
Mucking Horses Associates (MHA) estimates that 90% of the UK’s horses are stabled in private, non-livery accommodation.
So a significant number of owners are faced with the dilemna of arranging temporary care for their horse.
MHA is designed as a stop gap service, to cover times like holiday, illness, pregnancy or work commitments.
“Only those individuals who can demonstrate competent skills and knowledge in the field of equitation and a positive attitude towards horse welfare are eligible to become associates,” said a spokesman for the company.
A company is also recruiting for mobile livery associates based around the country.
