The Horse Trust is holding a rug sale at its Home of Rest for Horses near Princes Risborough on Saturday (18 October) to raise funds to support the horses and ponies in their care
The Horse Trust offers a home to more than 100 horses, ponies and donkeys, including some from an RSPCA operation at Spindle Farm, Amersham last January.
Following the Spindle Farm operation many horse rugs were donated to The Horse Trust and other charities and the centre is regularly given rugs by other supporters.
“We are so grateful for all the gifts we have received, but our rug store is now overflowing so we have decided to sell some of the surplus indoor and outdoor rugs to fund other aspects of our work caring for horses, ponies and donkeys,” says Shirley Abbott, stable manager at the Home of Rest.
The sale will take place at the Home of Rest for Horses, Slad Lane, Speen, Princes Risborough, HP27 0PP, this Saturday between 11am and 4pm.
