Help test the new Horse & Hound classified system

  • The H&H team has been working hard during the past few months to develop our exciting new online classified services and we are now inviting readers to help us by testing it.

The ‘beta’ service can be found at http://classifieds.horseandhound.co.uk/classifieds and includes both an advert booking system and a searchable database of horses, horseboxes, property, jobs and more.

There are currently some images missing from the system, but readers can still search for items for sale and try using the new online advert booking system.

H&H website editor Carol Phillips explains: “The new service is nearly ready to be launched so we would like H&H readers to give it a try and to let us know what they think.

“You can book a ‘test’ advert for free or search for a horse and try our new saved search and email alerts. Our moderation team will be checking all adverts booked so not all of them will be published, but there are plenty of adverts on the site already for testing purposes.

“The system is in the final stages of testing, so there may still be a few minor ‘bugs’, which we hope our readers will help us to iron out. There is a short feedback form on the site for readers to let us know about any issues they have when using the site.”

When launched the new service will enable users to maintain their own ads by changing details and removing adverts once they are no longer required, while potential buyers can save their searches and choose to receive email alerts when similar adverts are added to the website.

Go to http://classifieds.horseandhound.co.uk/classifieds to try it out. Adverts booked via the beta service WILL NOT appear on Horseandhound.co.uk or in a future issue of Horse & Hound magazine.
