The UK equestrian sponsorship round-up

  • Equine products company Farnam UK will now sponsor showjumper Jake Saywell.
    Jack said: “I am thrilled to receive Farnam products, they really help us to keep our horses fit, healthy and happy. I especially like the Red Cell for Special K who is a naturally laid back horse. Since using Red Cell she is much more attentive and maintains her energy at a show.”

    Young rider, Harry Bentley has become the latest jockey to be sponsored by Racing UK.
    Clive Cottrell from Racing UK, said: “Harry is an articulate and amenable young sportsman, who is tremendously ambitious. Racing UK has always been a big supporter of jockeys and the Professional Jockeys Association, and it’s especially important to support some of the younger riders. We look forward to a successful partnership.”

    Shires Equestrian has renewed its sponsorship with BETA international’s new product gallery.
    Claire Thomas from BETA said: “We have welcomed Shires to the trade fair as an exhibitor for many years and are thrilled that they have decided to remain a key sponsor for 2015. Shires is a great company with a fine reputation and we are very pleased to be associated with it.”

    Weatherbys Private Banking is the new headline sponsor of The Pony Club Championships.
    The event is held at Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire, 15-18 August and host the finals for showjumping, dressage, eventing, mounted games, polocrosse and endurance.
    “The Championships are such a special occasion for our members, and so securing support such as this means we can continue to enhance and develop the experience for all involved,” said The Pony Club’s chief executive Judy Edwards.

    Charles Owen will once again be partnering with Hickstead as the title sponsor of the Charles Owen Shopping Village and host of the International Riders’ Lounge during the Royal International Horse Show (29 July – 3 August).

    Showjumper and eventer Jay Halim is to be sponsored by euro-star Reitmoden GmbH. euro-star will provide Jay with clothing for competition and training.
    “We are very happy to offer our support to Jay. He is a talented rider, has a good team of horses and is a pleasure to work with,” said Monique Van Dooren-Westerdaal of the company.
