Fiona Hobby joins equestrian team at Stonar School


  • Pupils at Stonar School in Wiltshire will have the chance to learn from professional event rider Fiona Hobby, who joins the team this year.

    Four-star rider Fiona, who has competed at Badminton and Burghley, is the new assistant director of riding.

    And another new member of Stonar’s team is Jeni Edge, who becomes yard manager She is a qualified equine sports masseur and previous worked with racehorses.

    “We are delighted to welcome Fiona and Jeni to the team here at Stonar. This top notch provision will enable to us to strengthen the programme we offer to pupils while continuing to ensure a well run department,” said Darrell Scaife, Director of Riding.

    Late last year Stonar announced a new line up of external coaches in who will be running clinics and events at the school throughout the year.

    These include Tina Cook, Di Lampard, Yogi Breisner, Lizzie Murray and Jennie Loriston-Clarke.

    Olympic Silver Medallist, Tina Cook will visit on Wednesday 6 February to run a day of clinics with Stonar pupils.
