Entries are now open for the Equestrian Social Media Awards

  • Entries are being invited for the international Equine Online Equestrian Social Media Awards (ESMAs), alongside the new Equestrian Digital Awards.

The ESMAs have been running since 2010, and are designed to reward equestrians worldwide for bringing the industry closer together.

Voting has increased over the past three years from around 4,000 to 107,600.

“[This is] proof that those who are doing social media well are creating an army of advocates who find real value in their online activity,” said ESMA director Liam Killen. “We’re here to reward them for their hard work. The 2014 awards will continue to celebrate the best in show internationally.”

There are two prizes available in each category: the “Judges’ Choice ESMA”, decided by a panel of the global equestrian industry’s marketers and media professionals, and the “People’s Choice ESMA”, decided by public vote. Finalists will have to film short acceptance speech videos for the online award ceremony.

The Equestrian Digital Awards are being launched this year, featuring five categories that showcase digital excellence beyond social media, including websites, e-commerce sites, apps and rich media (interactive). Winners will be decided solely by the expert panel.

The finalists for all the awards will be announced in January, and winners will be announced in March.
