1. A Janie Beardsall belt

Choose from a lurcher, a fox, a hare, a salmon and a horse to perk up your jeans, made by sculptor Janie Beardsall. The buckles are cast in pewter in Co. Durham and the bridle leather is hand crafted by a master saddler in north Yorkshire. It’s also worth having a look at Jonny Beardsall’s hats — statement fur doesn’t get much more glamorous.
When your Barbour has more holes than there is fabric, it might be time for an upgrade. We like this ‘Vintage Beadnell’ version — with its washed distressed look and slimmer fit.
Get your hands on the ultimate racing coat from Katherine Hooker. The “Contrast Coat” has a seam on the waistline and a flared skirt with a small belt on the back waist.
Move over rocking horses. Could there be a better way to while away your time as a child than on a rocking zebra? And if you want the full African experience, it can be accompanied by a herd of wildebeest running along the base.
