10 hairy moments at Hickstead Derby Meeting [PICTURES]
Horse & Hound's coverage of The Equestrian.com Hickstead Derby Meeting (24-28 June) is brought to you in association with Equestrian.com
Trevor Breen might have sailed around yesterday’s (28 June 2015) Equestrian.com Hickstead Derby track with the only clear round, making it consecutive wins in the class for the Irishman — this year with the 16-year-old gelding Loughnatousa WB. No mean feat, considering that is only the 57th clear round in the class’s 55-year history.
But during five days of top class action from the All England Jumping Course, it was never going to run like clockwork for everyone. And our photographers were on hand to catch those moments when the side door beckoned… A stiff drink might be needed to settle your nerves after looking at these.
