Eastern regional dresage champions


  • The new partnership of Maria Eilberg and Torino were clear winners of the Biotal Equine Gold Medium Open at The College (4-5 August).

    Another new combination, Markus Gribbe and Wolke Sieben, finished just shy of 70% in the Stellar Wealth Prix St Georges, winning on their first outing.

    The Dodson & Horrell Novice Restricted went to Alex Hardwick, 16, and Rotspon’s Rockin.

    Former jockey Stephen Urwin was first past the post in the NFU Mutual Preliminary on High Fidelity.

    The Dodson & Horrell Novice Open went to Alison Berman and Diesel D, who also finished runners-up at elementary open.

    Roland Tong and Lord Of The Rings took the high-scoring Saracen Horse Feeds Advanced Medium just ahead of Daniel Sherriff and Bayford Hall Dallaglio, who beat third-placed Judy Harvey and Lou Wega on collectives.

    Simone Ward and her father John’s Ferro gelding, Oberon VI, took the Bates Intermediaire I, while Carol Bennitt and Tarzan II were the best in the NEW Equine Wear Elementary Open.

    Sam Sargeant on Touchdown II headed the Biotal Equine Gold Medium Restricted, while Adam Smyth and Tabor took the NEW Equine Wear Elementary Restricted.
