WEG dressage individual: Laura Graves chats to H&H [VIDEO]

  • Horse & Hound dressage editor Alice Collins talks to US rider Laura Graves about her meteoric rise through the ranks after riding her first grand prix test just 8 months before representing her country at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Laura scored 77.157% riding Verdades to finish 8th in the grand prix special.

Laura explains she was only invited to the American national dressage championships because higher ranked riders were unable to attend. She then finished an unexpected second to Steffan Peters, which earnt her an automatic place on the US team in Normandy. She admits to feeling a little lost spending her first summer in Europe, but says she is loving being here as part of the Team USA.
