Michael Whitaker, who was part of the British team for Friday’s FEI Nations Cup at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead, will not be competing at the rest of the show.
Hickstead has released this official statement:
“An incident occurred at the rider’s hotel late on Friday night and he was released from the local police station without charge on Saturday.
“He is not competing at Hickstead on Sunday and has gone home in order to concentrate on his preparations for Dublin.”
