All competitors in the 1.40m classes have qualified for the event which promises fierce competition between some of the best riders in Europe. The international classes culminate in a packed grand prix in the Grand Ring on Wednesday 3 July.
British hopes for the tour rest with Tim Stockdale, Di Lampard, Geoff Billington and Robert Whitaker, while top riders from Ireland, Germany, Holland, Australia and France are also expected.
“It’s great news for the Royal Show and it’s great news for show jumping,” said the Royal Show’s Karen Pearson, “We are getting prestigious riders at our event and show jumping is getting a fantastic venue – It’s a win-win situation.”
The tour will continue at Ridgewood International, near Reigate, Surrey on 6-8 July, before moving to Essex International on 14-16 July and concluding at Chester International on 19-21July.
