British team for Nations Cup at Hickstead confirmed


  • Olympic showjumper Peter Charles will be one of the riders representing Britain in tomorrow’s (Friday 20 July) Nations Cup competition at Hickstead.

    He is joined on the Nations Cup by John Whitaker, William Funnell and Olympic reserve Tina Fletcher.

    John will be riding Keely Durham’s Argento.

    Peter will partner Olga White and Team Murka’s 11-year-old chestnut stallion Murka’s Nevada VI.

    William will be competing Julie Slade’s nine-year-old chestnut gelding Billy Angelo. And Tina Fletcher will be on Lady Pauline Harris’ 11-year-old bay gelding Unique IX.

    Team GB will jump first, followed by Holland, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, France, Belgium and eighth Switzerland.

    The Hickstead Nations Cup is the seventh leg in the series. The next, and final, leg will be at Dublin on 17 August.
