Horse & Hound showing reporter Dr Wynne Davies retires
H&H showing reporter and Welsh pony expert Dr Wynne Davies is putting down his pen and retiring from reporting.
Wynne, who turns 80 on Monday (19 March), has been writing for H&H for more than 55 years.
He’s also written books including The Welsh Pony, The Welsh Cob, The Welsh Mountain Pony and Sixty Years of Royal Welsh Champions.
Showing editor Nicola Jane Swinney said: “Wynne is going to leave some very big boots to fill.
“His comprehensive knowledge of the Welsh pony and cob is second to none. It really does feel like the end of an era for me, but his retirement is extremely well earned.
“I look forward to reading about the continued success of Welsh ponies bred under his Ceulan banner.”
