Market Rasen racecourse is increasing capacity with an £800,000 extension of its Tattersalls enclosure.
A temporary marquee with bar facilities is being put up in the family enclosure while the work is carried out.
“This is an exciting development for Market Rasen as we stage increasingly popular major racing days,” said general manager Pip Kirkby.
The work is due to be finished before the racecourse’s Boxing Day meeting, which attracts 9,000 spectators.
