To celebrate 130 years of publication, Horse & Hound will be commissioning renowned sporting artist Daniel Crane to paint Britain’s greatest living horse to grace the cover of our birthday issue.
You, our readers, can choose which equine star to feature by voting from the shortlisted horses below.
“I feel particularly proud to have been asked to contribute to the 130th anniversary of Horse & Hound,” said artist Daniel Crane. “To paint for the equestrian public is an honour in itself; but to paint what is voted as the horse of this time is altogether humbling.
“Whichever equine personality we choose to pay homage to and celebrate, the pleasure is mine.”
Voting closes at 5pm on Thursday 6 March 2014.
